Noiseformer Bio
I am a lifelong musician with a passion for music and all things musical. At the age of five I was gifted a guitar which I played, as the cliché goes “until my fingers bled”. It was an awful guitar.
In my teens I progressed to electric guitar (An SG copy) and went on to start the band “Custom Shed”. We played mostly in Pubs, but we always packed out any venue with our loyal fans.
I wanted to get a deeper understanding of music, so I moved to Hollywood, California to study at the Musicians Institute. I returned to the UK after finishing the course and toured as a 2-piece band with sequenced synths backing the guitar and vocals.
This was my introduction to music production and the use of digital audio workstations (DAW’s) for writing songs. My career has taken me all over the world and I have collected many musical instruments and local music on my travels.
This has all cumulated in the creation of my own studio and gaining the necessary skills to produce music and video to industry standards myself.
1st Release - Dos Cervezas
Dos Cervezas (2 Beers in Spanish) was inspired by my travels around the world and the essentials to learn in a language, when visiting a new country. Namely - Please, Thank You, cheers and two beers please my friend will pay!
The song is based around these phrases in over 30 languages

2nd Release – Stranger In Shanghai
I was working out in China when I had the idea for this song.
Stranger In Shanghai Is a Drum and Bass dance track which takes you on a musical journey through the outlandish city that is Shanghai.
I recorded the background sounds in the track, on a bus in Shanghai. The repetitive bus safety warnings were the inspiration for the song and create the main rhythm.

3rd Release - Hawaii
Hawaii is a song about loss and a dream journey to find closure
The song is an adaptation of an actual dream I had.
Beethoven was the inspiration for the beginning and end of the song. The beginning I needed just piano and voice to set the scene and Moonlight Sonata was the inspiration here. For the end, I needed an orchestral crescendo to emphasize the awakening theme. The Pastoral Symphony finale was my influence for this.
The middle section I wanted become more and more chaotic before the resolution. I used an 11/8 time signature to create the stumbling feeling and 4 jazz trumpets for the turmoil and confusion.
